If our neighbors, Canada and Mexico, wanted destroy us and were shooting missiles into America everyday,?

should the USA just give up a large portion of land for peace? Should we just make nice with them as they kill our citizens? After all, we have a much larger army then they have, should we forgive them for blowing up cafes and school buses?
