Finding ticks!!? Please help ASAP. ?

I went to the park with my dog and it turns out there were ticks everywhere! I removed three from her and while driving home I found one crawling behind me ear! My husband is out of the country so I'm all alone with no one to check my head for ticks! (and I don't really have any friends in the city I'm living in) When I got home I brushed my hair out really really good and scratched my head all over really hard. Is there anything else I can do to make sure there are none sucking my head! I'm really scared please help!
