I have a big fishing trip coming up and I always buy worms how can I get a lot of worms from my yard?

After a good rain and around 10-12 pm there are big night crawlers but they are to fast for me to get. How can I get a lot of worms (any worms) easily without the hassle of crawling around and getting muddy and not catch any worms. I need a good simple way ASAP!
